List of potentially eligible authors

Article 40 of the Act of 15 June 2018 mandates that collecting societies must publicly disclose information about authors who have not received their remuneration within 3 months of the initial payment distribution date. Article 39(2) of the same Act requires these societies to complete the distributions within 9 months from the end of the year in which they were collected.
Following the law (Article 40 of the Act of 15 June 2018), KOPIPOL is publishing a list of authors entitled to royalties from 2022 who we were unable to find. This list includes:
•    Titles of the works
•    Names of the rightsholders we could not locate
•    Names of the relevant publishers
You can view the full list of unclaimed royalties here: [link to list]
Use our search engine for eligible authors to:
•    Check if you are entitled to receive remuneration from individual repartitions.
•    Generate and complete all the documents you need to claim your payment (you can do this from your computer).
Click here to access the search engine: [link here].
Please note: This search engine only displays authors who have not yet received their royalties. If you have already received payment, your name will not appear on the list or in search results.

Implementation of individual distribution for 2022

The KOPIPOL Association has begun distributing funds collected in 2022 through fees mentioned in the Copyright and Related Rights Act (Articles 20 and 20¹). A total of PLN 7,760,654.67 has been allocated and credited to the accounts of 7,970 authors.
And there's more!
The Association has also continued the repartition scheme for 2017-2021. All rights holders can access information about these payments and download their entitlement and related documents through the search engine for eligible authors.
We look forward to receiving your documents.

Individual repartition 2020 and a right to additional remuneration

We want to bring to your attention that in compliance with Article 41(1) of Collective Management Act of 15 June 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1293), authors collecting the remuneration due under the individual repartition scheme for 2020 by 31 December 2023 are eligible for additional remuneration under the secondary repartition scheme.
To claim your payment, please submit a statement confirming the authorship of the works together with a payment and tax details form. Authors can verify payment eligibility and generate documents through the author search engine.
We look forward to receiving your documents.

Information

Please be advised that the payment of remuneration collected from information or documentation centres for providing copies of fragments of scientific and technical works against payment in the years 2005-2014 is in progress.
Information or documentation centres were entitled to prepare and distribute documentaries and make single copies of excerpts of published works under Article 30 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights of 4 February 1994, repealed in 2015. The excerpts were made available under the so-called press monitoring system.
In 2003 the Decision of the Minister of Culture allowed the KOPIPOL Association to collect fees from the information or documentation centres for distributing parts of copyrighted works against payment.
To enable KOPIPOL to distribute and disburse the remuneration to eligible creators, the information or documentation centres were obliged to submit statements indicating the works they had copied within the framework of permitted use provided for in the previously effective Article 30(1).
Rightsholders are invited to contact the Association to receive their remuneration!
